Work:- big boss mamma at Honey

Bio of Honey

Honey garnered national attention after the release of their debut album Weekend Millionaire including reviews in Louder Than War and Vive le Rock. They were What's On Cornwall Award nominated in 2015, featured on BBC Introducing Cornwall and gigged tirelessly in support of the album.

Sarah, Ele and Tyler who make up Honey rock hard playing all over the country and Europe with wild abandon. They don't sleep much in the summer. They love beer and burgers. They say 'yes' to every shot, (they sometimes throw up).

Honey will be touring and doing festivals in 2016, all the while album 2 is gestating. Sit on the sound and wriggle around.

Seed sewing, baby growing, all knowing, money owing, never plateauing, party going, gift bestowing, affection showing, fit throwing makers of music.

Thom Pod (Songs of the Delta)  (14:00)

A native Californian and born of Russian immigrants, Thom has been a performer from the age of seven. A multi-instrumentalist, he has been playing music and performing all his life. His introduction to Europe had him learning how to busk in the streets of Paris, playing saxophone and guitar. He had graduated to playing in circus shows, theatre and many types of music groups. Thom has also worked as a disaster inspector for many years and has worked in Louisiana many, many times during hurricanes and floods. An emotional time for him was when he was deployed to work Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita in 2005 for many months, where he was enabled to help hundreds of people during the tough times the people of Louisiana endured. He was brought even closer to the traditions, culture and music of Louisiana. Thom is one of the creators of the internationally known Gator By The Bay Zydeco, Blues and Crawfish Festival in San Diego, Calif.

Leigh Delamere & the Gordanos   (15:20)

Leigh Delamere & the Gordanos offer an upright-piano mangling barrelhouse banjo homage to the greats of rhythm’n’blues, garage rock, boogie woogie and ragtime in an old-timey skiffle party style.

Travelling with Professor Delamere’s famous pop-up-upright piano, they will guide you on a surreal road trip from New Orleans to Chicago via Paris and Penryn, picking up the occasional folk, gypsy, rock’n’roll or even self-penned tune along the way and shining a musty old light on it.

These vocal and multi-instrumental masters of accordion, stompbox, Maccaferri guitar, violin, cowbell, bass, washboard, and hollerin’ are seasoned veterans of the stage; Leigh has toured the world tickling the ivories and pumping the bellows for Bash Street and Rogue theatres; the band have appeared in various guises at the infamous Glastonbury Bandstand, Boardmasters, Masked Ball, Looe Music, Bath Fringe, Small World and Big Session festivals and have appeared at palaces, museums and stately homes across the country.

The Gordanos are currently ensconced in their Falmouth garage working on the 'Poundland Boogie' long player; with Leigh Delamere firmly in the driving seat the public can be assured that this production will be an erratic journey which is every bit as scenic as their live performances.

Joanna Cooke   (16:10)

Classy soulful vocals – honest heartfelt songs

Joanna's voice will stop you in your tracks and she's got the songs to suit.

Blending Soul, Jazz, Blues and Pop, Joanna has built up an impressive collection of original material, finely honed & in demand with a live schedule of over 120 shows a year.

Appearances on south west BBC TV and radio, national airplay of her local BBC Introducing work, #1 Club chart hits in Australia and South Africa and support slots with Rag’n’Bone Man, JP Cooper & Beth Rowley all point to a star in the ascendancy.

With three EPs and a single so far, Joanna has already released a strong supply of well-received quality recordings. Her latest record 'Some Say' out 01.08.18 to strengthen her stance & sound as a UK songwriter & vocal force of note.

If you want piano based melodies with a sharp ear for a hook and a sense of soul influenced by the likes of Bessie Smith, Ella Fitzgerald and Aretha Franklin in a modern style then you’ve found it. And if you want all of that wrapped up in a powerful live performance with the kind of personality that can win round main stages at festivals, clubs and venues alike then Joanna Cooke is the one for you.
